Ben is a condominium lawyer and litigator with Rutherford & Mathews Professional Corporation Barristers and Solicitors. His practice has taken him to the Superior Court on both trials and applications, to the Court of Appeal and he has made submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada. Ben has also appeared before the Human Rights Tribunal, the Licence Appeal Tribunal on Tarion matters, the Ontario Municipal Board, and the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal. He is counsel on a number of reported condominium cases.
In the past, Ben has acted as a teaching assistant in a law course offered by York University, and has taught a high-school equivalency course in Canadian and International law. As a member of the West Scarborough Justice Committee, he volunteered his time as a mediator between offenders and their victims. Ben also practised insurance defence litigation.
